A Rock ’n’ Roll arrival as RNG’s Mustang steals the show at ‘Sunny Afternoon’
It was like stepping back into the swinging ’60s when we rolled up to the New Victoria Theatre in Woking for the opening night of Sunny Afternoon — the electrifying new musical that tells the story of the 60’s rock sensation The Kinks, from their humble and gritty beginnings to full-blown rock stardom.
Taking centre stage before the curtain even rose. Our stunning 1966 Ford Mustang, rumbling V8 with retro attitude and bursting with British Invasion-era flair in Rosso Red and convertible roof!
As the cast arrived in style, the Mustang became part of the story. Parked out front, its gleaming chrome and unmistakable growl set the perfect tone for a night celebrating rebellion, rhythm, and rock history. Passers-by and theatre-goers alike could almost believe the original band was inside, ready to take the stage.
From record deals to riffs, Sunny Afternoon brings the spirit of The Kinks to life — and we were proud to add that extra layer of authenticity and nostalgia to the night.
