An RNG Classics Dream come true! Our Escort XR3i stars in a London wide campaign for McDonalds!

When we say our cars get noticed, we mean it. One of the proudest moments for RNG Classics was seeing our Rosso red Ford Escort XR3i chosen for a major London-wide campaign for McDonald’s.

The shoot took place over a full production day at a drive-through in South East London in Woolwich, where a team of seasoned professionals brought the campaign to life. From stylists and photographers to production crews and editors, every detail was carefully planned to capture the perfect shots.

But what really made the day fascinating was the incredible craftsmanship behind the scenes. Alongside the film crew were specialist food stylists, true masters of their craft, meticulously assembling the burgers for camera. Using tweezers and fine tools, they built each burger layer by layer to ensure it looked absolutely perfect under studio and external light.

Our Escort XR3i cabriolet played its part brilliantly, providing the authentic retro character the campaign needed. Seeing it positioned at the drive-through, lights shining, cameras rolling, was a surreal moment for our team.

The finished campaign appeared across London bus stops, billboards, and even the iconic red double-decker buses, bringing a touch of classic car nostalgia to the streets of the capital.

For us, it was a real dream come true, proof that classic cars don’t just belong in garages or at shows.
