What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

- How does it work?
You simply give us a call or email, we check you meet our basic age criteria for insurance purposes. Once you have sent us your ID and DVLA documents, we take the full hire payment and you are ready to go! You are then fully insured and booked in to drive the car of your choice.
- What’s included?
We include fully comprehensive insurance cover, 100 miles per day, full AA Fleet break down cover with free recovery, a guide to the car and a free handover and intro to familiarise yourself with the quirks and features of the car.
- How old do I have to be to rent a car?
You have to be over the age of 25 and to have had a licence for at least 3 years. Our insurance is also limited to under 75 years old. With no more than 6 points on your driving license.
- Am I covered to go abroad?
Our cars are fully insured to drive in the UK only. If you are attending one of our rallies abroad, special permission for insurance may be granted on application only.
- Do you offer a delivery and collection service?
Here at RNG Classics we pride ourselves on our bespoke service. No matter where your hire occasion is being held, we are happy to provide a service to meet your needs. We can organise delivery and collection nationwide via our transport experts.
- Can I view your selection of cars prior to booking?
Of course! All our cars are available to view prior to booking by appointment. Feel free to call us to book in a day with us.
- Can I create a gift voucher for someones birthday?
Indeed, we can tailor gift vouchers to any amount or product. This will be printed in high quality and suitably gift wrapped with added personalisation.
- Is it possible for more than one person to drive the car?
Yes, if you would like to add an additional driver to your hire term, let us know in advance so we can arrange for the paperwork to be done. This will be priced separately.
- What happens if I break down?
You will be covered by full roadside AA breakdown assist for the duration of your hire term. All our cars are fully serviced and tested on a regular basis and kept to a very high standard. As with all things classic, there can be no 100% guarantee that our cars will not encounter a problem. All possible measures have been made to ensure our classics perform at their optimum capability ensuring the chance of a breakdown is kept to a minimum. If we do have to intervene, we are always on hand to help and will swap you out with our next available classic car and look to upgrade you in the process.
- Are the cars easy to drive?
Classic cars are not as user friendly as modern cars; one does wonder how we all survived before power steering and Bluetooth! Not to fear, our classics are very straightforward to drive. We will give you a demonstration before each hire period including some basic road tuition to build your confidence and get a feel for your chosen classic before hitting the open road on your own!
- Do the convertibles come with a roof / hood?
Yes, come rain or shine, our classic cars all have either manual convertible roofs or power hoods that are straightforward to put up. We will give a full demonstration on this before you leave us
